Line an 8 x 8-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, add the cereal. In a microwave safe bowl, combine your peanut butter and maple syrup, and microwave until warm. Whisk together until combined.
Add the peanut butter/syrup mixture into the cereal and mix very well, until all the cereal has been fully coated. Transfer the mixture into the lined pan and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour, to firm up.
Using a sharp knife, slice into bars.

TO STORE: Cheerio bars should be stored in the refrigerator, covered. They will keep well for up to 4 weeks. TO FREEZE: Place the cheerio bars in a ziplock bag or shallow container and store them in the freezer for up to 6 months.
